Midterm Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 8, and the Chatham County Board of Elections wants to inform voters of important information.

When can Chatham County voters cast their ballot on Election Day?
Chatham County residents can vote from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on November 8, 2022.

Where can Chatham County residents vote?
Chatham County residents must vote at their assigned precinct on Election Day. If voters are unsure of their precinct, they can visit www.chathamcountync.gov/elections or call 919-545-8500.

What if voters missed the deadline to register for the general election in Chatham County?
The registration deadline for the midterm election was October 14, 2022. Residents also were able to register on the day they cast their ballot during early voting. There will be no voter registration on Election Day.

How many Chatham County residents cast their ballots during early voting?
During the early voting process from October 20th to November 5th, Chatham County had the highest percentage of voter turnout in North Carolina at 47.348% with 25,866 ballots cast in person and 2,142 absentee ballots by mail cast as of the November 1st absentee board meeting.
